Detectives have arrested Otieno Omondi in Kisumu in connection with the murder of former Wells Fargo HR Manager, Willis Ayieko Onyango. Omondi, a motorcycle rider, allegedly transported Victor Ouma, a primary suspect, to the site of Ayieko’s abduction. Omondi claimed he was paid KSh 9,000 for this service, and CCTV footage captured Ouma wearing a blue jacket on the day of the crime.
Investigators link Ouma to Ayieko’s murder along with his deceased brother, Robert Wakolo Okoth, and others. Wakolo was previously connected to several violent robberies, including the fatal shooting of an Mpesa agent in Kisumu in January. He was later killed in a police operation.
Ayieko’s body was discovered in Gem, Siaya County, after he went missing on October 18 following a funeral.
