Detectives in Nairobi are probing the death of Elijah Mungai Ndichu, a supermarket employee found dead in his Mwiki home. Concerned colleagues discovered his body on February 3 after he failed to report to work since February 1. They broke into his locked house and found him lying on the floor with blood oozing from his body. Police have launched investigations, and an autopsy is pending.
In Lugari, Kakamega County, a decomposed male body was found in Itumbu village. The corpse, missing its arms and feet, was unrecognizable due to facial decomposition. Authorities moved the body to Village of Hope mortuary for identification and postmortem, with the motive for the murder still unknown.
Meanwhile, in Lungalunga, Kwale County, the body of Rachael Pascal Bahati, 43, was discovered under a roadside culvert in Bondeni. Covered in a sack, the body had multiple injuries, with the head skinned and the eyes and ears removed. Reports indicate she had an ongoing land dispute.
