Police are investigating a murder following the discovery of a woman’s body found on the roadside off Ngong Road in Karen, Nairobi. The body, which was located by pedestrians on the evening of August 6, showed no visible injuries.
The scene, situated at the border of Ngong and Karen near a bar, revealed a clutch next to the body. The victim, estimated to be around 50 years old, had no apparent signs of disability. Alongside the body, investigators found a kitchen knife without blood marks, a pair of rubber shoes, a red scarf, and a clutch.
Authorities suspect that the woman may have been killed elsewhere and her body later dumped at the scene. The motive behind the murder is still under investigation. Nairobi police chief Adamson Bungei stated that all possible scenarios, including murder, natural causes, or suicide, are being considered. The body has been transferred to the mortuary for identification and an autopsy.
