Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary nominee Rebecca Miano has outlined her qualifications for the role, emphasizing her extensive experience in leadership and management.
Miano highlighted her career trajectory, including five years as a CEO, during which she developed essential skills in leadership, organizational management, operations, finance, and strategic planning.
She believes these competencies have adequately prepared her for the position of Tourism and Wildlife CS. “My strengths lie in strategy formulation, disciplined execution, and motivating teams to achieve our objectives,” she explained.
In her vetting appearance, Miano, a lawyer and Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, discussed her deep understanding of government operations and strategic implementation.
Miano is among the ten Cabinet Secretary nominees proposed to return to the Cabinet, pending Parliamentary approval. Previously, she was nominated for the Attorney General position and served as Trade CS since October of the previous year. She also held the role of CS for East African Community, ASALs, and Regional Development.
