Police in Meru County are investigating a suspected suicide case after a 38-year-old man reportedly jumped into a 55-foot deep borehole in the Kibugua area. The man had entered a neighbour’s compound before taking the fatal plunge. A rescue team retrieved the body, which was taken to Chuka General Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem. Authorities are yet to determine the motive behind the incident.
