President William Ruto’s senior economic advisor, Moses Kuria, has attributed his political challenges to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking on Citizen TV, Kuria criticized Gachagua for lacking patience and failing to honor commitments made with President Ruto. He emphasized that disagreements are natural in homes, businesses, and government, urging Gachagua to have waited at least four to five years before publicly dissenting.
“I feel embarrassed by a community that insists on leading instead of supporting the team effort. Rigathi should have shown restraint,” Kuria remarked.
He revealed that Gachagua is forming his own political party by the end of the month, a move Kuria finds unwise. Despite their differences, Kuria maintained he treated Gachagua with respect and avoided publicizing their disputes.
Kuria, a former CS, acknowledged his history with Gachagua, including campaigning and serving together in Cabinet, but said he ultimately had no choice but to support Gachagua’s impeachment.
