Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that there are currently no plans for a peace summit on Ukraine involving Russia. Speaking to Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, Peskov clarified that no summit with Russian participation is being organized at this time.
“To date, there are no plans for such a summit with Russia’s involvement,” Peskov said. “Occasionally, we hear sporadic suggestions about Russia’s participation, but these ideas often come from participants of earlier events, who argued that a summit to address Ukraine’s situation without Russia is neither practical nor meaningful.”
Peskov noted that there have been discussions about the possibility of Russia being invited to future events, but emphasized that any such event must have a clear and relevant agenda. “The purpose of attending such events is to engage in meaningful discussions, yet no agenda that aligns with our interests has been presented,” he added. “No relevant agenda has been outlined in relation to the preparations for any upcoming conferences.”
