Kenya Primary Schools Heads Association (KEPSHA) National Chairman Johnston Nzioka has died following a road accident on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway in Athi River on Sunday, February 16.
Police reported that Nzioka’s vehicle collided with a moving trailer as he swerved to avoid a head-on crash with an oncoming car. He died on the spot, and investigations into the accident are ongoing.
Nzioka, who also served as the Headteacher at Donholm Primary School, was a respected educationist and a vocal advocate for timely capitation funds. His leadership extended to co-curricular activities, where he held key positions in national and regional sports associations.
Colleagues, including KEPSHA National Treasurer Kennedy Kyeva and KNUT Secretary-General Collins Oyuu, mourned his passing, praising his visionary leadership and dedication to improving teachers’ welfare and education quality in Kenya.
