PLP leader Martha Karua has expressed willingness to form alliances with any political leader ahead of the 2027 elections, including former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, her 2022 running mate. However, she ruled out supporting him again in that role, suggesting he back her instead.
Speaking on Citizen TV, Karua emphasized her goal of working with like-minded leaders to transform the country. She is preparing to launch the People’s Liberation Party (PLP), formerly Narc-K.
Meanwhile, Raila Odinga has yet to announce his political plans after his failed AU Commission bid. While meeting President Ruto in Mombasa, he stated he would consult supporters before deciding on his next move. He has since begun nationwide consultative meetings and plans to make an official statement next week.
