Haitian President Fritz Alphonse Jean visited the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission camp, where Kenyan officers are stationed, following the killing of Constable Benedict Kairu by gang members. Kairu was ambushed during a security operation on March 25. The President expressed Haiti’s support for the MSS mission and assured continued collaboration in searching for a missing Kenyan officer. President Jean praised the efforts of the MSS officers and their partnership with the Haitian National Police. Meanwhile, videos showing the body of the slain officer have surfaced, though his body has not been recovered, and Kenyan authorities are working to retrieve it.
