Authorities in Moyale destroyed nearly four tonnes of cannabis and 287 grams of cocaine on Friday at the Odda dumpsite. The operation involved officers from the judiciary, National Police Service, DPP, and public health teams, demonstrating the criminal justice system’s dedication to fighting drug abuse and trafficking.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) highlighted recent arrests and seizures across the country, including a suspect caught in Mombasa with heroin and cannabis, another in Migori with 401 rolls of bhang, and three others arrested in Nairobi with a large stash of cannabis.
The efforts reflect increased surveillance, public cooperation, and inter-agency collaboration aimed at curbing the drug menace nationwide.
