Detectives are investigating five separate death incidents reported across the country.
The cases, described by authorities as sudden deaths, occurred in Kasarani, Kitengela, Isiolo, Kibera’s Jamhuri area, and Nyamira, with investigations currently underway.
In Kasarani, the body of a man, approximately 35 years old, was found under a tree in Kiwanja on Tuesday evening. Locals reported seeing him resting under the tree earlier. The body has been taken to the mortuary for identification and autopsy.
In Isiolo’s Kulamawe area, Peter Muthomi was discovered lifeless in his bedroom after returning from a church service. The cause of death remains unclear, pending further investigations.
In Kitengela, the body of Angeline Muthina was found in her house, where she lived alone. Authorities are yet to determine the cause of her death.
In Kibera’s Jamhuri area, a 35-year-old man, suspected to be part of a street family, was found dead in a thicket near the railway line. Police reported no visible injuries on the body.
In Rarieda, Siaya County, Elizabeth Akinyi, 33, was fatally attacked by a crocodile while fetching water at Wayaga beach. Her daughter raised an alarm, attracting locals who recovered her body, which bore visible injuries and was missing a hand.
In Nyamira’s Nyakwerema village, a young boy drowned in a family borehole on Sunday evening. His body was recovered after a brief search.
All the bodies have been moved to respective mortuaries for autopsy and further investigation.
