Julius Keter, MCA for Chemundu/Kapng’etuny Ward in Nandi County, has passed away. He died on Saturday at Fountain Hospital in Eldoret after being unwell for three weeks. Keter was elected in 2022 on a UDA ticket and also served as the Majority Whip in the county assembly.
Nandi County Assembly Speaker Philemon Melly and Governor Stephen Sang paid tribute to Keter, describing him as a committed and humble leader who championed development and served his people with dedication. Residents, especially the youth, mourned his loss, praising his generosity and responsiveness to community needs.
His death now adds to the list of pending by-elections to be organized by the IEBC.
