Detectives suspect that a woman’s body discovered in Lari, Kiambu, could be that of Victoria Mumbua Muloki, a taxi driver who went missing on September 27 from Mombasa. Muloki’s vehicle was found in Nakuru, leading to the arrest of Edwin Ng’etich, who reportedly confessed during interrogation and directed police to the body’s location in Mai Mahiu.
The body, booked as “unknown” at the Nairobi City Mortuary, will undergo identification by Muloki’s family and a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death. Police suspect Muloki was lured by her abductor without using a taxi app, and Ng’etich has a history of similar offenses.
Muloki’s last known communication was from Samburu, Kwale County. Investigations continue as police piece together the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and death.
