The Office of the Attorney General has announced 70 openings for students to join its six-month pupillage program.
In an advertisement featured in Tuesday’s My Gov, Solicitor General Shadrack Mose stated that the program is set to begin in January 2025.
To qualify, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from a recognized university. Additionally, they need to provide a copy of their National Identity Card, a letter from the Kenya School of Law recommending them for pupillage, and copies of their academic certificates and testimonials.
Mose emphasized that applicants should possess strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili. They should also show a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work as part of a team on challenging assignments within set timelines. Proficiency in computer skills is also required.
“Interested and qualified individuals should download and complete the pupillage application form,” Mose advised.
Candidates are instructed not to attach any documents to the application form. Instead, they should ensure that all requested information from the advertisement is included in the form.
Mose noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Those shortlisted will need to present the originals of their National ID, academic certificates, and the recommendation letter from the Kenya School of Law during the interview process.
The completed application form must be submitted via email to pupillage@ag.go.ke by October 24, 2024.
