As African communities grapple with the impact of USAID funding cuts, particularly in the health sector, governments, partners, and non-governmental organizations have convened in Rwanda for the Africa Health Agenda International Conference (AHAIC).
Organized by Amref Health Africa, the Rwanda Ministry of Health, WHO Africa (WHO AFRO), and the Africa Centre for Disease Control (Africa CDC), the conference aims to explore alternative strategies for financing healthcare on the continent.
Despite concerns over the strain on health systems, African leaders remain hopeful that governments will mitigate the effects of these cuts by working collaboratively to safeguard communities from emerging health challenges.
