The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced registration guidelines for this year’s Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) exams.
KNEC CEO David Njengere confirmed that registration began in January and will close on February 28. Heads of institutions must register Grade 6 learners afresh via KNEC’s online portal, ensuring accuracy in student biodata. Schools are warned against registering ghost candidates, with strict penalties for malpractice.
The government will cover assessment fees for all learners, except non-citizen candidates who must pay Sh750 via E-Citizen. KNEC also emphasized compliance with data protection laws, requiring parental consent for data collection and ensuring learners verify their registration details.
