A 40-year-old man was electrocuted while pruning trees in Kimerin village, Bungoma County. The incident involved William Matwale Joseck, who died instantly on September 17 when branches he was trimming touched a live wire. Police and witnesses reported that his body had burn injuries on the right thumb and back. It has been taken to Dreamland Kimilili mortuary, awaiting a postmortem.

In a separate incident in the same region, a suspected thief was lynched by a mob in Nabikoto sub-location after being accused of burglary. The victim, identified as Timothy Natembea, 29, was killed based on allegations that he was part of a burglary group, one of whose members had already been arrested. His body has been moved to the Kimilili sub-county hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
In Thika’s Makongeni area, police rescued a man who was being stoned by a mob after being accused of stealing shoes. Officers intervened during the Wednesday night incident and rushed the victim to Thika Level Five hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition.
