Treasury CS nominee John Mbadi has disclosed that his net worth is Sh380 million, excluding liabilities totaling Sh57 million. These liabilities include a mortgage with the Parliamentary Service Commission, Sacco loans amounting to Sh20 million, and a KCB bank loan of Sh12 million. Mbadi also mentioned deferred income investments of approximately Sh6 million with ICEA and an unspecified pension amount.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, who leads the vetting committee, reported receiving 34 memoranda about Mbadi. “The feedback varied, with some supporting the nomination and others opposing it, including three that highlighted internal conflicts within his political circle,” Wetangula noted.
