Siaya High Court Judge Daniel Ogola Ogembo has been found dead at his home in Siaya on July 17, 2024. He had worked the previous day and returned home alone. His driver became concerned when Ogembo did not respond to calls and sought help to access the house, where the body was discovered. Reports indicate that Ogembo had complained of not feeling well before going to bed. His body has been taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigation. Ogembo was appointed as a High Court Judge in 2016, having joined the judicial service as a magistrate in 2004. Siaya Governor James Orengo expressed condolences, highlighting Ogembo’s thoughtful contributions in the courtroom.
