High Court Judge David Majanja is scheduled to be cremated today, July 17, following his passing on July 10 at a Nairobi hospital.
A funeral service will take place at Friends International Centre on Ngong Road, beginning at 9 AM, followed by a private interment ceremony for family members.
Additionally, a Memorial Service will be held in Shinyalu constituency, Kakamega County, on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Both events will be live-streamed on the Judiciary’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
Judge Majanja was appointed to the High Court in 2011 and served at various high courts in Homa Bay, Migori, Kisumu, and Kisii, as well as in the Commercial and Tax Divisions and the Milimani High Court Civil Division.
He was recently sworn in as a member of the Judicial Service Commission on May 28, 2024, after being re-elected to represent the Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) on the JSC.
