The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has reopened the Southern Bypass after a two-week closure for rehabilitation works.
The affected section, spanning from the Ole Sereni Interchange to the Ngong Road Interchange, was closed on December 24, 2024, to allow repairs on a weighbridge and pavements. The road reopened on January 5, 2025, at midnight.
In a statement, KeNHA thanked the public for their patience during the closure and urged motorists to drive cautiously and observe road signs for their safety and that of others.
“Don’t speed to impress, arrive to embrace,” the authority reminded road users.
